The library is situated on the corner of Dundas Street and Queen's Road. There is a bus stop nearby which is served by the town bus service (31) and the Darlington bus service (27/28).
There are no dedicated parking spaces at the library. Disc parking is available on either side of Queen's Road - parking discs are available at the library. There is a large public (pay) car park at Nuns Close, off Hurgill Road. This is approximately half a mile from the library and clearly sign posted. Alternatively, the Co-operative supermarket opposite the library offers free parking for their customers. With all car parks please note the local information signs for any restrictions.
The library has automatic doors and all the ground floor areas are accessible to wheelchairs. There is a hearing loop available at the issuing desk and in the reference area of the library.
