Introduction

This enviable coastal location near Whitby is the idyllic base for exploring the North Yorkshire moors and stunning coastline. Adjoining the adjacent farm, this luxury cottage has been sympathetically transformed into a contemporary living space with a welcoming ambiance.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

A cosy mezzanine sleeping area with double bed provides a romantic retreat complete with crisp white linens and marshmallow pillows. The luxuriously appointed downstairs bathroom includes a large bath, under-floor heating and walk-in shower area. The ceiling is low in places so please take care!

Outside

Yorkshire now has more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other county outside London and, according to the Lonely Planet, is the third best region to visit in the world. Set in its own private courtyard garden nestled in 15 acres of wood and pasture land, you are welcome to explore and use the facilities of the ever extending “reclaimed” garden. The latest addition being the verdant vegetable and herb garden from which you are welcome to enjoy the seasonal produce.

After an exploratory coastal walk, there's nothing better than relaxing in a steaming bath before wrapping up in a luxurious bathrobe and curling up beside the log burning stove. Light a few candles, lay back and relax... heaven. When the weather is clement, pour yourself a chilled glass of wine and enjoy the stunning views from your own private cottage garden with comfy seating and eating areas. Or why not simply do it all, this is a world where time and space are available in abundance.

Practicalities

There is parking for up to two cars. Bay View has a dishwasher as well as a washer/dryer. There is a vegetable and herb garden which guests are welcome to use during their stay. The owner lives next door.
