The Carpenters Arms is a traditional village inn located in the heart of Felixkirk village, on the outskirts of the Market Town of Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

Voted ‘Best Freehouse Pub in Great Britain’ and ‘Flavours of Herriot Country Dinning Pub of the Year’ in 2011, The Carpenters Arms specialises in bringing its guests high quality food, drink, service and surroundings, including a superb private dining room for larger parties.

The classic British menus are created using provenance at the heart of everything and showcase the best local produce available from carefully selected suppliers.

The main restaurant is located overlooking the Vale of Mowbray, providing a spectacular backdrop for a relaxed and delicious meal.

The Inn also has a wonderful traditional bar, stocked with local beers, hand pulled ales and a considered wine list. Enjoy a decent pint or glass of wine in the cosy bar and tap room area.

More informal dining is also accommodated in the bar area, with its large wooden tables and roaring open fires, whilst the gardens are a great spot for al fresco dining in the warmer months.

Located on the ground floor, the private dining room provides a great space for formal dining or informal parties or family gatherings.

The Carpenters Arms also has 10 beautifully appointed bedrooms. These include 8 garden suites, arranged around a landscaped garden, overlooking the Vale of Mowbray; and a pair of rooms within the charming, award winning, Carpenters Arms.

All rooms are en-suite, have the highest quality super king beds, Egyptian cotton, duck down duvets and pillows, or sheets and blankets if you prefer. Big fluffy towels, bathrobes & L’Occitane products grace the bathrooms, whilst additional facilities include individual secure gun safes for the shooters, drying wardrobes for the outdoor explorers and beds and treats for our just as welcome four legged friends.
