River Bank Cottage welcomes you to a secluded tranquil haven on the banks of the River Esk, with seasonal Salmon and Trout fishing at your finger tips. Sleeping up to 4 adults, River Bank cottage is located in the picturesque village of Briggswath. 3 miles from the fishing port of Whitby.
If you wish to leave your car at home, the bus stop is a 5 minutes walk from your front door., or a short walk over a foot bridge brings you into sleights. Here you can catch a train into whitby or venture in the opposite direction on the Esk valley train line and stop at one of the beautiful villages along the way. Enjoy walks into the countryside.
Finished to a high standard, River Bank cottage has two downstairs living spaces; a kitchen/diner which is well equipped if you prefer to eat at home, with ceramic hob, gas oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer.
The sitting room has every comfort you could need. Relax on the leather sofas in front of the living flame gas fire while you enjoy Smart TV with Freeview.
Upstairs, the master bedroom boasts a king sized bed, 32' tv and hair dryer.
The guest bedroom has twin beds along with a 32' Smart TV.
The luxuriously appointed bathroom includes a traditional roll top bath with a separate shower cubicle, wash basin & toilet, along with complementary bathroom products.
Outside living is truly what this cottage is all about. If the sun is out, dine alfresco, either in the secluded walled courtyard or take your lunch to the bottom of the garden onto the balcony and just enjoy the wild life that frequents the river. See king fishers, otters, and even salmon leaping.
