The first welcome at Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa is 44 acres of protected natural woodland set in the classic Yorkshire Dales countryside near the market town of Otley. A stone’s throw from Harrogate, Leeds, Bradford and York, it’s a great base for visiting this historic part of England.

Our Alpine-style self-catering lodges and spa hotel blend into the Yorkshire woodland setting which is dotted with lakes, gardens and walkways. It’s a place where you can relax in the outdoor hot tub, swim in the pool, work on your tennis serve or indulge in the spa or restaurant. But, for those who appreciate the simpler things in life, you can count bluebells in the woods with your dog at your side (we’re dog-friendly) or drop a line in the lake and hope to land a fish, while the family looks on with their picnic.

The three star TripAdvisor rated hotel, with AA Rosette-awarded Lakeside Restaurant, provides a retreat from daily life, and is a gateway to the many beautiful towns and cities in the north of England and West Yorkshire. You would be forgiven for describing the feeling at Chevin as ‘Alpine’. Our main hotel building is the biggest log cabin in the UK, and along with our lodges, is built using Swedish logs (a wealthy Scottish family built the hotel in 1983 after seeing a similar style in Sweden). With the main building set centrally amongst the lodges, guests can enjoy all the benefits of a spa hotel, while appreciating the serenity of the nature around. For those who like the freedom of self-catering holidays in the UK, yet also fancy strolling home after a crackin’ steak and bottle of Rioja, the lodges can be used simply as a hotel room, or a home from home. Great for when you want to get away for a family weekend break, or retreat and relax for a spa holiday in Yorkshire Dales.

Chevin is easy to get to and easy to find. With the hotel and lodges located a short taxi ride from Leeds/Bradford International Airport, 11 miles from Leeds city centre, 30 miles from York, and 12 miles from Harrogate, it’s a ‘reet good choice’ for a last minute short break and weekends away.
